West Island School has a dedicated sports website that contains all relevant information for logistics relating to competitive sports fixtures. This website is live and allows students and parents to keep track of upcoming matches and tournaments, travel information, scores and league tables, synchronise sports calendars, and see team sheets.
The URL for the website is sport.wis.edu.hk.
We strongly recommend for families to bookmark this website if your child is selected or interested in participating in competitive sport. The fixtures and calendar can also be accessed through the ESF app.

Which is best, the computer version or the mobile version?
Both versions offer the same information in an easily accessible way, but with slightly different interfaces.
The computer version of the website looks big, what sections are most important to check?
The ‘Sports & Fixtures, Teams & Results’ page, and ‘Sports Calendar’ are key pages to monitor. There are options to sync various calendars from these sections, and will allow you see what is happening on a monthly/weekly/daily basis, and for each individual team.
Where can I see all of my child’s fixtures?
By selecting ‘Sports & Teams, Fixtures & Results’ on the menu, you can select the relevant sports, age groups, genders, and teams. This will show all confirmed fixtures.
What about times and locations?
All of this information can be viewed when clicking on an individual fixture. Meet times for students, bus departure times and return routes, accompanying teachers, necessary kit and equipment, and any other essential information will be posted on each fixture.
Do I need to log into the Sports Website portal for anything else?
No. All other information can be viewed easily without a login.
When I log in, the activities section is blank.
This section of the mobile site is not connected to Sport or CAS activities yet, and is not active or accessible for WIS users.
How am I supposed to know if my child is selected for a team?
Squads will generally be set in advance through CAS training sessions and communicated to students verbally, or if necessary via email in the case of absence. Team members are expected to monitor the Sports Website and sync fixtures to their calendar, and inform their parents/carers of selection. Once your child is selected for the first time, we strongly recommend downloading and syncing the relevant sports calendars to your own.
How do I sync my calendars?
When viewing a sports team's fixtures, click on the ‘Download to your calendar’ button and in the pop-up window, click ‘Subscribe’. More detail can be found in the Sports Website mobile user guide, where images from a mobile device can be viewed.
How is my child supposed to remember if they have a fixture?
The Sports Website is prominent on digital display boards around school, reminders will be given during training sessions, and it is their responsibility to monitor their upcoming fixtures.
Will I get any email updates about a team or sport?
If there is an urgent or last minute change (24 hours or less) the lead teacher will contact students and parents. Any changes will be reflected on the Sports Website.
How frequently does the calendar update?
Changes to fixtures or any associated information are visible immediately through the Sports Website using a computer or mobile device. Calendar programmes can take up to 24 hours to reflect any changes.
Who can I contact if I have a website issue?
