Venues and Transport

HKSSF fixtures will take place at LCSD (Leisure and Cultural Services Department) venues around Hong Kong

ISSFHK fixtures will take place at West Island School, HKU Stanley Ho, or other international schools (or their chosen LCSD venues)

Transport

Depending on the time and location, school transport may be provided to and from the fixture venue. Where possible we will try to make transport as efficient as possible. This may mean providing a bus one-way and students using public or private transport to make their own way home after dismissal from a fixture. This allows us to minimise the financial impact of a return bus allowing resources to be allocated on the wider CAS programme, and reducing the environmental impact of the many buses we send out on a weekly basis.

The criteria for transport is considered on a case-by-case basis and will take into account:

• Start and finish times

• Distance from the closest MTR and/or bus connection

• Distance from West Island School

• Number of students involved in the fixture

• Age of students involved in the fixture

• The day of the fixture - in general, students will meet directly at the venue for weekend fixtures 

As with the school buses and public transport, there may not be an adult travelling on the school bus with students. A member of staff will register and count students onto buses departing from West Island and they will be met by the lead member of staff at the venue.
